The Barcelona Science Park creates a new web space to disseminate its sustainability strategy

The Barcelona Science Park publishes a new web space to disseminate its sustainability strategy. As a renowned European centre in research, technological transfer and scientific innovation, the Park has been strongly committed to the culture of sustainability and works aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations for many years. Now, as a result of this commitment, the Park publishes its strategy and activity in the matter of sustainability.

The new web space includes the 2022-2025 Sustainability Plan, a document that identifies the SDGs in which the Park has greater impact and which are the basis of its sustainability actions throughout these 3 years, involving 20 projects that are implemented in 51 actions and which transversally affect the entire organisation.

The selected projects focus on the good health and well-being of the people who work at the Park (SDG 3), the commitment to boost scientific training and vocations (SDG 4), the promotion of innovation and scientific research (SDG 9), consumer efficiency and resource administration (SDG 12), employee satisfaction (SDG 8), climate action, the reductions of emissions (SDG 13) and the establishment of partnerships to achieve the goals (SDG 17) within the Park environment.

The new web space also hosts Notas de Sostenibilidad (Sustainability Notes), a new blog discussing reflections and advice on sustainability which will be updated with content weekly. Finally, the Strategic Sustainability Policy of the Park can also be accessed.

If you have any queries, comments or suggestions regarding the Plan or the deployment of your organisations’ own sustainability strategy, you can send an e-mail to: sostenibilitat-pcb@pcb.ub.es.
