Marine Geosciences Research Group Plays Role in MARGO Project

A team of international researchers has devised a scientific model that can reconstruct the state of worldwide ocean temperatures 21,000 years ago, enhancing our ability to predict the effects of climate change in the future. The project, known as MARGO ((Multiproxy Approach for the Reconstruction of the Glacial Ocean Surface), includes the researcher Isabel Cacho of the Department of Stratigraphy, Paleontology and Marine Geosciences at the University of Barcelona (UB). Cacho is a member of the UB's Marine Geosciences Research Group, which is led by Miquel Canals and is present at the Barcelona Science Park.
