Barcelona Science Park strengthens links with Brazil

On 16 January, a delegation of representatives from Brazil's State Government of Cearà and the Brazilian business sector visited some of Barcelona Science Park's (PCB) main research laboratories and technology platforms. The delegation was led by Francisco Pinheiro, Vice Governor of Cearà; René Teixeira Barreira, Science, Technology and Higher Education Secretary of Cearà; and Cláudio Joventino, Science and Technology Secretary for the City of Maracanaú. The aim of the visit was to strengthen scientific, cultural and business links between Brazil and Catalonia.


The delegation was received by the Director General of the PCB, Fernando Albericio; the Head of the Scientific Department, Sonia Martínez; and the Head of Communication and Institutional Relations, Mercè Gomez. Miguel A. Mingorance, Head of Business Promotion at the Consulate of Brazil in Barcelona, and the businesswoman Caroline Melo also attended the event.
