ICREA Academy Programme Honours PCB Researchers

Last evening at 7 pm in the Palau de la Generalitat, the award ceremony of the honoured forty researchers from public universities. Among the award-winners were ten individuals working at the University of Barcelona, including two members of PCB research institutions: a professor in the Department of Logic, History and Philosophy of Science and researcher with the LOGOS-Research Group on Logic, Language and Cognition, and Albert Solé, a professor in the Department of Political Economy and the Public Treasury and a researcher with the Barcelona Institute of Economics ().

The initiative, which provides an annual sum of 25,000 euros to each award-winner, seeks to encourage and retain university professors with outstanding careers in research. Awards go exclusively to university faculty members who conduct research at the university (in departments or university institutes) and they are particularly aimed at faculty at the height of their research activity.
