The enterprise MicroArt officially opens its facilities at the Parc Científic de Barcelona

On Thursday 29th September, the company , devoted to the development of Information and Communications Technology, will open its facilities in the Tower D of the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB, Barcelona Science Park). The opening will begin with a presentation at 16 h in Room 1. This will be followed by a conference entitled "Bioinformatics and intelligent agents", which will be given by Mariola Mier, the director of research at MicroArt; Carles Arús, head of Biomedical Applications of Nuclear Magentic Spectroscopy at the UAB; and Carles Sierra, president of the Catalan Society of Artificial Intelligence. This conference will be held at 17.30 h in the Antoni Caparrós Auditorium.

Formed by a team of informatics engineers and directed by Magí Lluch, MicroArt was set up in 1996. The company specializes in the development of complex informatics projects in fields such as training, business administration and biomedical research. It is in the latter that MicroArt applies computer programme technology called “intelligent agents” in projects related to the field of bioinformatics.
