Baula has been seclected to become part of the FuTUR Impact program of Ship2B

Clean & Health & Eco Baula has been one of the two companies selected to become part of the  FuTUR Impact program, the investment and acceleration platform for high social impact startups in the sector of tourism of the Ship2B Foundation. The company, based at the Barcelona Science Park, has developed an innovative and patented formula worldwide to manufacture and distribute any cleaning product, in the form of individual tablets and easy dissolution, 100% sustainable and responsible to the environment. 

 

Through FuTUR Impact, Baula aims to explore the possibility of penetration in companies of the tourist sector such as hotels or restaurants to make the company´s initiatives more sustainable and responsible to the environment.

The selection committee was composed of representatives from Ship2B, Barcelona Activa, Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, Bodegas Torres, Catalan Tourist Association, Hotel Association of Barcelona and the Responsible Tourism Observatory St. Ignatius, and has featured the collaboration of experts Lluís Torra, president of the Marketing Club of Barcelona; Christian Rodríguez, founder of ByHours; and Ignasi Ferrer, cofounder of Seastainable Ventures.

“The team at Ship2B will draw up a personalized growth plan that will run be implemented through alliances with various partners of the platform and the involvement of the network of mentors and organizations of Ship2B. If the startup needed capital, the team of B-Fund analysts, a joint venture vehicle of Ship2B, would study the case and the investment committee would then present the project to the network of impact investors of Ship2B, which has more than 400 members including business angels, family offices and venture capital institutions”, said Maite Fibla, cofounder and director of Ship2B and director of FuTUR Impact.

The second project that was selected from over 124 candidatures is Vies Braves, a public network of marine trails an open waters and to practice sports and recreational and educational activities.

The call is still open and the interested startups need to gain access to the platform to submit their application at www.ship2b.org/futur-impact throughout the year. Please, be advised that the round for the acceptance of projects will be next June.
