CataloniaBio launches ‘Hospital Connection’ program for companies

CataloniaBio, an organization based at the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), presents the 'Hospital Connection' program which aims to facilitate companies in the field of life sciences access to the knowledge derived from collaboration and clinical development lines of Catalan hospitals. The first event of this program is a workshop that will take place at the PCB this upcoming 2 July 2015.

 

The workshop – aimed exclusively at professionals from the pharmaceutical, biotech and biomedical fields- will discuss the availability of shared risk working and under what conditions in the areas of therapeutic excellence and successful experiences of public-private partnerships.

“We think it is an excellent opportunity to establish a dialogue between hospitals and businesses and thus generate futures collaboration frameworks” explains the secretary general of CataloniaBio, Melqui Calzado.

The meetingr will include innovation representatives from reference hospitals such as Joan Bigorra, coordinator of the Itemas Subcommittee of Catalonia; Joan Comella, director of the Vall de Hebron Research Institute (VHIR); José María Tormos, research coordinator at Instituto Guttmann, and Lluís Blanch, director of Research and Innovation of the Corporación Sanitaria Parc Taulí, among others.
