CataloniaBio joins the Richi Foundation to promote start-up projects in the fight against pediatric cancer

The Catalan Association of Biotech Companies, CataloniaBio, has joined efforts with the  Richi Foundation, an international foundation with headquarters in Boston with the mission to improve the diagnosis and quality of life of children with cancer.

One of the initiatives of the Richi Social Entrepreneurs is to generate high social impact by fostering of entrepreneurs projects with a technology and science component (medical technologies, biotechnology and health, among others) through the fast-track.

The program, promoted by CataloniaBIO, will be take place this upcoming month of July and will consist of various immersion, incubation and acceleration activities to readily start-ups involved with the main stakeholders of the ecosystem in Boston (Massachusetts, USA).

“This is a good opportunity to move projects conceived in Catalonia forwards to the epicenter of the global sector with a social purpose as important as pediatric cancer,” says Melqui Calzado, secretary general of CataloniaBio.
