Catalan universities join forces to adress together innovational solutions to social and business challenges

In the framework of the Barcelona Industry Week, which will be held from 1 to 6 October at Fira Barcelona, different Catalan universities will organize the Open Innovation Forum, a meeting that gives companies the opportunity to launch their innovation challenges and groups and centers to propose solutions to these problems. The Barcelona Science Park is one of the entities that take part in this initiative.

For the first time, the main Catalan universities join forces to adress together innovational solutions to social and business challenges. Thus the Open Innovation Forum was born, an Open Innovation Program that gives companies the opportunity to suggest innovation challenges while research centers and groups are able propose solutions to these problems.

The Open Innovation Forum is a great opportunity to meet the right partner to address the Innovation challenges proposed. Using a schedule of pre-arranged interviews only with the interesting proposals, this Forum will allow companies to save time in the development of products / services / solutions needed to increase their competitiveness.

The event is open to any company with innovation needs to develop new products / services, or that has interest in exploring new opportunities for innovation; and research groups from universities and technology centers interested in applying their research to the Catalan business. The Open Innovation Forum is divided into four areas of knowledge: Health, Nutrition, Chemistry and Energy.

►Until 7 September, companies interested can submit their registration and insertion of the cooperation profile on the event website: www.openinnovationforum.cat
