Bosch i Gimpera-UB Foundation to run 2nd CREA!EMPRESA training day

On Wednesday 26 November the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) will host the second CREA!EMPRESA training day. Organised by the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation the aim is to encourage the creation of technology-based companies in the university community. Registration is free and the meeting runs from 12 to 3.00 p.m. in the Fèlix Serratosa Room of the Modular Building (Baldiri i Reixac, 10).

CREA!EMPRESA is aimed mainly at lecturers, doctoral students, researchers, research groups, and final-year and postgraduate students who are interested in transferring their innovative scientific and technological ideas to society through the creation of a technology-based company.

The idea behind CREA!EMPRESA is that a group of research entrepreneurs who have set up new companies in the PCB will share their experiences with others, and that this exchange will motivate participants to develop similar initiatives.

The training day, which will be introduced by M. Carme Verdaguer, general manager of the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, will begin with a round table entitled “From researcher@ to entrepreneur@”, and will count on the participation of founding partners of companies based at the PCB and already consolidated, for example, and others set up more recently such as , and .

Also providing input to the day will be various experts in entrepreneurship and company organisation from the University of Barcelona, along with the manager of the Business Centre of the FBiG, Maribel Berges. The day will end with a networking lunch so that those attending have the opportunity to talk to the speakers.
