IRB Barcelona holds its Open Week from 8 to 12 June in a semi-presential format

To bring current research in biomedicine and life science disciplines closer to the general public, IRB Barcelona periodically organises communication and scientific outreach activities, such as the Open Day, which are free and open to the public at large.

This year, from 8 to 12 June, IRB Barcelona is holding an Open Week, adapted to current circumstances. The public will be able to enjoy both on-site activities (organised following strict health safety measures), as well as virtual ones, including visits to laboratories, informative capsules (“Science Snacks”) and a round table on breast cancer chaired by the journalist Lídia Heredia.

Public outreach activities not only showcase the cutting-edge research undertaken by the scientists at the centre but also offer the opportunity to look into the fascinating microscopic world and the bases of life, which we study with the aim to improve health and quality of life.
