Neuroscience Technologies has been selected to participate in the Global Growth Program

The company –located at the Barcelona Science Park, and part of the – is included within the twenty Catalan technological companies selected to participate in the Global Growth Program (GGP'09), a training forum aimed at improving business management with a global approach: sales, alliances and financing. This initiative –consisting of three workshops, a networking event and a seminar on financing that will take place throughout 2009- has been launched by 22@ Barcelona and Barcelona Activa, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, ACC1Ó and the three universities present at the technological district: IL3 – the Institute for Lifelong Learning of the University of Barcelona (UB)-, the UPC Foundation and the Pompeu Fabra University.

The first workshop was carried out on March 2 and 3 at the Institute for Lifelong Learning of the University of Barcelona (IL3-UB) and was led by Kenneth Morse, of the Entrepreneurship Centre of the Massachusets Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston. 22 judges and 39 representatives from twenty innovating technological or biotech companies with a high potential for growth, such as Neuroscience Technologies, have participated in the seminar.

According to Cristina Quiles, the director of Neuroscience Technologies and one of the participants at this first workshop, the Global Growth Program provides companies with new perspectives and competitive strategies”, empowering them to achieve their goals and objectives. The reason for the time interval between workshops is to allow the insight obtained at the workshop to consolidate within the company.
