More than €1,000 raised at PCBakers’ first bake sale
Success in the first bake sale run by PCBakers. This informal association made up of people from different PCB groups and institutions collected more than €1,000 in its first event, which took place on 25 May near the entrance of the Cluster II building.
This charity breakfast lasted two hours, where volunteers from 6 companies and 18 bakers contributed 25 cakes and recipes from eight different countries. In total, approximately 330 servings were sold, which raised €1,015.50.
All of this money will go to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, the charity that supports communities affected in Ukraine by the conflict with Russia, and the surrounding regions where Ukrainian refugees have been forced to flee.
Next meeting: 16 June
After the success of the first meeting, the PCBakers are now preparing their second bake sale.
It will take place on 16 June, from 9 to 11 am, at the entrance to Towers on Carrer Baldiri i Reixach. This time, the money raised will go to the Fundació Enllaç, which works to support LGTBI+ people, especially the elderly and dependent, by working to ensure that social services accommodate them and offering legal advice.
