Mind the Byte launches a €320,000 crowdfunding round to accelerate its business development

Mind the Byte, with offices at the Barcelona Science Park and the Copenhagen Bioscience Park, has opened a new financial round through the equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube. With this round, that expects to raise at least 320.000 euros, the company will keep developing its SaaS platform and continue the implementation and expansion of its business development plan. 

 

Mind the Byte has an scalable business model and offers its technology via SaaS platform, which comes with ad-hoc support services. In addition, the company also offers scientific consultancy. The company assists and helps their clients during the whole process of drug development. Moreover, it is a member of public-private consortiums that place Mind the Byte into the front line of technological development.

The final goal of the company is to cover not only discovery processes, but the whole Drug Development process, by integrating different scientific disciplines plus, the use of new techniques on the field such as Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.

The last financial round, which was at the end of 2015 and also with Crowdcube, became the biggest biotech equity crowdfunding round ever done in Spain until that moment. On that occasion, the money was used to develop the first commercial version of the SaaS platform for Drug Discovery and for the market test.

During 2016, the company raised more than 100.000 euros in sales and invested more than 200.000 euros on R&D, mainly on the development of its pioneer SaaS platform and new Artificiall Intelligence-based algorithms. By 2020 Mind the Byte aims to raise more than 5 million euros in sales, to work in related fields such as Personalised Medicine and to be listed in an alternative stock market.
