Enantia and Iproteos take part at ‘Innovation Days’ in Paris

Businesses Enantia and Iproteos will take part in the 6th Edition of Innovation Days to be held on 5 and 6 of October at the Paris International University City. Biocat, with two companyies, and based at PCB, is one of the collaborating agencies participating in this event.  

 

Innovation Days brings together investors and experts in international property and technoloy transfer, stakeholders, entreprenerus, academicians and decision makers from the field of life sciences, giving them the opportunity to share good practices, know-how and strategic approaches in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological and techno-medical  markets around the world.

On Tuesday, 6th of October, Teresa Tarragó, Iproteos CEO, will participate in the Biomeetic forum. This event, part of the Innovation Days 2015, gathers together investors, corporate venture firms, banks, biotechs and pharmaceutical companies. Sixteen start-ups have been selected to expose their projects in front of potential investors. Teresa will present the IPRO Technology, a platform for the discovery of therapeutic peptide derivatives. As a success case of the technology, Iproteos CEO will explain the project devoted to the cognitive enhancer that is being developed at the company, and that is a candidate treatment for the cognitive impairment associated to schizophrenia.

Enantia, the other partcipating company, will be present at the Partnering Event, which will take place alongside, gathering several companies in the biotechnology sector. Within the context of the company´s internationalization, the event will enable Enantia to exhibit the different activities and technologies it offers in the discovery and development of new drugs, both in the field of synthesis, as well as in the field of solid forms, backed up by the company´s innovative expertise (cocristalls) which opens a whole new range of new opportunities.

 

‘Open Innovation’ in life sciences

Innovation Days are partnering meetings intended to promote technology transfer and public-private collaboration in projects in the field of life sciences organized by the French group Universal Medica. Once again, in this year´s edition, and for two consecutive days, the conference will host  one-to-one partnering meetings and plenary lectures, and coferences, presentations by biotech companies, workshops and networking and exhibition spaces.

One of the most relevant events will be the presentation of the Innovation Prize, a prize exclusively granted to innovation and entrepernership initiatives which is open to newly created companyies (less than 8 years) and academic laboratories. un premi exclusivament dedicat a la innovació i l’emprenedoria i que està obert a empreses de nova creació (menys de 8 anys d’edat) i laboratoris acadèmics. 

Innovation Days 2014 brought together 460 representatives from pharmaceutical companies, public research groups, early stage biotech companies, investors and intelectual property professisonals from 30 different countries around the world, and hosted  over 1000 partnering meetings.
