Courses for teachers of vocational training in the areas of entrepreneurship and health

Teachers of vocational training disciplines (CFGS) face new challenges involving specific training, in some cases difficult to achieve. The university can contribute significantly to this aim by organizing activities involving experts from selected areas in order to respond to these needs and expectations. For this purpose two activities have been organized to train teachers of FP.


The first organized activity will start on February 28th with the opening session “Fostering entrepreneurship in vocational training: teacher training sessions” in the auditorium Antoni Caparrós at the PCB. These sessions, sponsored by the Campus of International Excellence Barcelona Knowledge Campus (BKC) are organized by the Institute of Education Sciences of the University of Barcelona, and consists of three working sessions to be held on February 28th and March 6th and 13th, providing training in entrepreneurship aimed at training teachers.

The sessions will also be useful for teachers training and career counseling (FOL) for them to develop entrepreneurship among their students. The conference will involve practitioners and actions of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona City Council and the UB, as well as private companies, and will allow knowing, among others, the challenges and procedures in the start of a business.

Furthermore, on March 8, 15 and 22th will take place the course “Update in the biomedical field for teacher training”, also organized by the ICE with the support of the BKC unit. These working sessions with have the participation of researchers and technologists that will show the latest advances in the biomedical field, such as the latest updates in gene therapy, the biomedical instrumental techniques and the analytical technologies of water. The sessions will be useful for teachers of FP in order to update their knowledge in areas that evolve quickly and continuously, and will help them transferring the information to their students.
