The Barcelona Science Park hosts the “CIBER-BBN-Company in Drug Release”

On December 1 and 2 the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) will be hosting the "CIBER-BBN-Company in Drug Release" Forum, which aims to promote collaboration between the members of this research consortium –the Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN)- and the industry. The following speakers will participate in the Forum's opening ceremony, which will take place at the PCB's Antoni Caparrós Auditorium: Josep Samitier, associate director of the CIBER-BBN; Jordi Quintana, Technical Director of Scientific Business Development of the PCB and head of the PCB's Drug Discovery Platform, and Ramón Mangues, researcher at the Research Institute of the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital of Barcelona, Oncogenesis and Antitumoural Agents Group.

The CIBER BBN comprises 50 research groups selected for their scientific excellence, and it is one of the new CIBER consortiums in Spain. Its main research lines within the field of nanomedicine include research of new nanomaterials for the development of drugs that are able to target certain body organs.
