The Barcelona Institute of Economics presents a study on Green Taxation of Energy

On Friday 2 December, the Barcelona Institute of Economics ( ), a group that belongs to the UB and is associated with the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB, Barcelona Science Park), will present the study entitled "Green Taxation of Energy" in a devoted to environmental management. The study analyses the introduction of several fiscal measures concerning energy saving and efficiency, and the use of less contaminating energy sources in several European countries. Organized by the Fundació Gas Natural with the collaboration of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Regional Government of Catalonia), the seminar will be held in the Antoni Caparrós Auditorium at the PCB (C/Baldiri Reixac, 4-6).

During the introduction to the seminar, copies of the study will be given to those present.

It will also include a round table entitled “Expert opinions on green taxation of energy “, in which the implications of the possible application of these measures in Spain will be addressed.

This event is directed at managers in public administration departments dealing with tax, energy, and the environment, and at managers and technicians in energy-producing enetrprises, consultants, assessors, economists and lawyers. The seminar will begin with presentations by the director of the Fundació Gas Natural, Pere A. Fàbregas, and the director of the IEB, Martí Parellada.
