Changing of Telefónica’s technologies – The effect on the Fax service

For the last few months, Telefónica has been carrying out what has been named the FARO project, which consists of the migration of the copper infrastructure to that of fibre optics. This project forms part of the closure of current telephone stations, which provide the BTN, ISDN and other services through copper wiring. As they are scheduling the closure of the telephone stations, Telefónica is advising affected users so that they can arrange their migration to the new fibre optic technology.

One of the affected services is the fax service. It is an outdated service, replaced by services offered by new technologies.

In the coming months the centre that provides cover to the PCB will be closed. The Park, together with the UB, will make the necessary investments to guarantee the telephone service currently provided and will expand it with new ones. However, the service that will be affected is the fax service. If any of the Park’s clients still uses a fax, we ask you to cancel this service.
