The Emprendia Network reviews its action plan for 2010 Blog Post

The Ibero-American University Network of Business Incubators (Red Emprendia), composed of twelve universities –including the University of Barcelona, which promotes the via the Barcelona Science Park-, the Santander bank, which participates in this initiative via its Santander Universities Global Division, and Universia has met at the University of São Paulo (USP) to assess the activities carried out within the framework of its action plan laid out for 2010. The objective is to dynamise the university-enterprise relationship and to foster entrepreneurial culture.

Neuroscience Technologies has been selected to participate in the Global Growth Program Blog Post

The company –located at the Barcelona Science Park, and part of the – is included within the twenty Catalan technological companies selected to participate in the Global Growth Program (GGP’09), a training forum aimed at improving business management with a global approach: sales, alliances and financing. This initiative –consisting of three workshops, a networking event and a seminar on financing that will take place throughout 2009- has been launched by 22@ Barcelona and Barcelona Activa, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, ACC1Ó and the three universities present at the technological district: IL3 – the Institute for Lifelong Learning of the University of Barcelona (UB)-, the UPC Foundation and the Pompeu Fabra University.

Emilio Botín and Narcís Serra visit the PCB Blog Post

On Tuesday 13 September, the president of the Santander Central Hispano Bank, Emilio Botín, and the president of the Caixa Catalunya Savings Bank, Narcís Serra, visited the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB, Barcelona Science Park). During this visit, these guests were escorted by the rector of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB, University of Barcelona), Màrius Rubiralta, the president of the UB Social Council, Juan José López-Burniol, and the director of the PCB, Fernando Albericio.
