Kumux launches a 2.0 software which creates differential light to improve human health and plant growth Blog Post

A spin-off by the University of Barcelona Enlighting Technologies, based in the Barcelona Science Park, has created Kumux to launch a 2.0 simulation spectrum software which, through patented algorithms, creates a differential light with beneficial effects for health for both people and plant growth. It is an smart lighting solution –autonomous and based on LED technology–, compatible with different systems and designed so that it can be integrated into any luminaire or control platform.

 

Genesis Biomed launches the startup Everai Medical Technologies Blog Post

Genesis Biomed, based in the Barcelona Science Park, has just founded Everai Medical Technologies, a startup that focused its activity on developing software that will make it possible to share patient data between the ambulance doctor and the hospital’s emergency personnel. The company was born as a project supported by EIT Digital and the involvement of the Belgian hub Interuniversity Microelectronics Center (IMEC) and the Dutch company Pipple.

 

Baula donates 18,000 cleaning kits to Càritas Girona Blog Post

The startup Baula, based in the Barcelona Science Park, has donated 18,000 kits of ecological cleaning products to Cáritas Diocesana de Girona, which will be distributed as basic necessities to vulnerable families cared for by the entity. The capsule format facilitates transportation and logistics compared to conventional products. The provision of goods to 18,000 families would equate to 72,000 kilograms of conventional cleaning products. In comparison, Baula’s tablets weigh a total of 4,500 kilograms.

 

Barcelona Science Park launches photo contest at Instagram “Un dia al PCB… i a casa!” Blog Post

Barcelona Science Park (PCB) presents “Un dia al PCB… i a casa!” (One day at PCB and at home), a special edition of its traditional photo contest “Un dia al PCB”, now adapted to the new situation provoked by the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic. As every year, the contest invites our community to present pictures of people, places and situations related to the Park but, this time now, also pictures of work life at home, that has become our temporary workplace.

 

Baula raises €1.3M to take the leap to the B2C sector Blog Post

Baula, a technology-based company focused on the ecological and sustainable development of innovative products for the cleaning sector, has closed a €1.3M financing round. The startup specializing in eco-friendly cleaning products will be earmarking this new injection of funds to bolster its human capital, increase production capacity, consolidate its position in the B2B sector and roll out the second phase of its business plan: conquering the domestic and international B2C markets. Since it was established in 2015 in the Barcelona Science Park, Baula has raised 1.8 million euros in public and private capital. It currently has trade agreements in 16 countries in Europe, Africa, North America and Oceania.
