Disconnection of the PCB buildings’ general electrical network

On 20, 21, 22 and 23 November the annual regulatory maintenance of the transformer stations serving the PCB buildings will take place.

For this reason, they will need to be shut down and disconnected from the mains, relying on generators for the duration of the work.

While the generators are running, the supply to the normal power lines will be cut off, preferential power lines will suffer occasional cuts and the UPS power lines will operate normally.

While this work is being done, you may notice occasional engine noises or smells outside the building due to the generators starting up. For this reason, we recommend that you keep office and laboratory windows closed while work is under way.

Please have only the equipment that is absolutely necessary connected.

Programmed interruptions:

– Wednesday 20 at 6 a.m. Towers R, D & I. Estimated duration 3 h.
– Thursday 21 at 6 a.m. Cluster II, from ground floor to roof. Estimated duration 3 h.
– Friday 22 at 6 a.m. Cluster offices, Cluster II basement floor and Animal Facility 2. Estimated duration 3 h.
– Saturday 23 at 7 a.m. Cluster I and Hèlix. Estimated duration 6 h.
