Have you visited the Maternitat gardens?

Connecting Avinguda de Joan XXIII and Travessera de les Corts, these expansive gardens were originally designed in the late 19th century, around the time that the Casa Provincial de Maternitat i Expòsits was established as a charitable institution dedicated to the care of mothers and abandoned children. The gardens were built around a series of care facilities to make patients’ stays in the pavilions more pleasant and to ease movement around the grounds and between buildings.

The Maternitat gardens are one of several large green spaces located just a stone’s throw from the PCB.

Spending time in parks and gardens helps us to connect with nature, providing a sense of peace and well-being. With such beautiful, flora- and fauna-rich spots right by our workplace, we encourage you to visit them often this spring and embrace the habit of taking green walks as part of your daily urban life.
