DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr. Juan Manuel Povedano Selfa \nPostdoctoral Researcher \nMcFadden’s Laboratory\, Department of Biochemistry\, UT Southwestern Medical Center\, Texas\, USA. \nIdentification of the mechanism of action of small molecules is one of the main roadblocks in drug development. In the last years\, I have developed genetic and chemoproteomic tools to unequivocally identify the target of small molecules with anti-cancer activity. These tools have led to the discovery of the target of a small molecule currently in clinical trials for the treatment of Ewing sarcoma.
