{"id":98415,"date":"2024-09-16T12:00:11","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T10:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/generan-celulas-lider-con-luz\/"},"modified":"2024-11-20T15:40:33","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T14:40:33","slug":"generan-celulas-lider-con-luz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/es\/generan-celulas-lider-con-luz\/","title":{"rendered":"Generan c\u00e9lulas l\u00edder con luz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Un estudio liderado por el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/es\/empresa\/institut-de-bioenginyeria-de-catalunya-ibec\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instituto de Bioingenier\u00eda de Catalu\u00f1a (IBEC)<\/a>, con sede en el Parque Cient\u00edfico de Barcelona, ha estudiado el movimiento migratorio de grupos celulares mediante control por luz. Los resultados, publicados en Nature Physics, demuestran que no existe una c\u00e9lula l\u00edder que gu\u00ede el movimiento colectivo, como se pensaba hasta ahora, sino que todas las c\u00e9lulas participan en el proceso. Esta investigaci\u00f3n es relevante en la hora de dise\u00f1ar tratamientos para parar la invasi\u00f3n de tumores o acelerar la curaci\u00f3n de heridas, procesos fisiol\u00f3gicos estrechamente relacionados con la migraci\u00f3n celular.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se sabe que en procesos como el desarrollo embrionario, la cicatrizaci\u00f3n de heridas o la invasi\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer, las c\u00e9lulas se mueven en grupo de manera coordinada. Encabezando estos conjuntos de c\u00e9lulas se encuentran las llamadas c\u00e9lulas l\u00edderes, que son muy m\u00f3viles y parecen dirigir la migraci\u00f3n de todo el grupo, del mismo modo que los grupos de animales a menudo se organizan siguiendo las instrucciones de un l\u00edder.<\/p>\n<p>Un estudio liderado por el Instituto de Bioingenier\u00eda de Catalu\u00f1a (IBEC) ha intentado generar c\u00e9lulas l\u00edder en el laboratorio mediante control optogen\u00e9tico con el fin de comprobar si realmente existen c\u00e9lulas que dirigen este movimiento colectivo y c\u00e9lulas que las siguen y c\u00f3mo se transmite la informaci\u00f3n de las unas a las otras con el fin de moverse coordinadamente.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo de investigaci\u00f3n utiliz\u00f3 c\u00e9lulas modificadas gen\u00e9ticamente capaces de seguir el movimiento de la luz azul. All\u00ed donde la c\u00e9lula es iluminada con el haz de luz, se activa la prote\u00edna Rac1, provocando una protrusi\u00f3n conocida como lamelipodio, que facilita el movimiento celular.<\/p>\n<p>En el modelo dise\u00f1ado por el equipo de investigaci\u00f3n, se colocan las c\u00e9lulas sobre un sustrato formado por un gel con una rigidez equivalente a la de los tejidos del cuerpo, que contiene un patr\u00f3n lineal, de manera que se forman grupos de diferente n\u00famero de c\u00e9lulas siguiendo el patr\u00f3n, en fila.\u00a0 A continuaci\u00f3n, se iluminan con el haz de luz azul estos \u00abtrenes\u00bb de c\u00e9lulas con el fin de estudiar su movimiento colectivo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abCreamos una especie de tren formado por diferentes vagones, que son las c\u00e9lulas. Lo que observamos es que las c\u00e9lulas iluminadas no son capaces de arrastrar un n\u00famero m\u00ednimo de seguidores, de manera que no lideran el movimiento. As\u00ed pues, no tenemos un tren, sino que cada vag\u00f3n tiene su motor y controla su velocidad y aceleraci\u00f3n, cada c\u00e9lula individual es un actor activo en el movimiento colectivo\u00bb, detalla <strong>Leone Rossetti,<\/strong> antiguo investigador del IBEC y primer autor del art\u00edculo.<\/p>\n<p>Los experimentos demuestran que no existe una c\u00e9lula l\u00edder que gu\u00ede el movimiento colectivo, sino que las c\u00e9lulas que se pensaban seguidoras, tambi\u00e9n participan en el movimiento.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEstos resultados son relevantes a la hora de dise\u00f1ar tratamientos para detener la invasi\u00f3n de tumores o acelerar la curaci\u00f3n de heridas.
