{"id":96306,"date":"2024-06-06T11:23:13","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T09:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/xavier-trepat-recibe-el-premio-rei-jaume-i-en-la-categoria-de-investigacion-biomedica\/"},"modified":"2024-06-07T16:18:40","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T14:18:40","slug":"xavier-trepat-recibe-el-premio-rei-jaume-i-en-la-categoria-de-investigacion-biomedica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/es\/xavier-trepat-recibe-el-premio-rei-jaume-i-en-la-categoria-de-investigacion-biomedica\/","title":{"rendered":"Xavier Trepat recibe el Premio Rei Jaume I en la categor\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Xavier Trepat, profesor de investigaci\u00f3n ICREA en el Instituto de Bioingenier\u00eda de Catalu\u00f1a (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/es\/empresa\/institut-de-bioenginyeria-de-catalunya-ibec\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IBEC<\/a>), con sede en el Parque Cient\u00edfico de Barcelona, \u200b\u200be investigador del Departamento de Biomedicina de la Facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad de Barcelona (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.ub.edu\/es\/web\/ub\/inicio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UB<\/a>), ha sido distinguido con el Premio Rei Jaume I en investigaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica, como autoridad mundial y pionero en el campo de la mecanobiolog\u00eda, una disciplina en r\u00e1pida evoluci\u00f3n con profundas implicaciones para la comprensi\u00f3n de la biolog\u00eda celular, la embriolog\u00eda y el c\u00e1ncer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Las distinciones de la trig\u00e9sima quinta edici\u00f3n de los\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/fprj.es\/acin-perez-trepat-vicente-serrano-serrano-armanani-y-sunyer-son-los-premiados-de-la-36-edicion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Premios Rei Jaume I<\/a>\u00a0se anunciaron el martes 4 de junio, en el Palacio de la Generalitat Valenciana, en un acto institucional presidido por el jefe del Consell,<strong> Carlos Maz\u00f3n<\/strong>, y con la presencia del presidente ejecutivo,<strong> Javier Quesada<\/strong>, y el presidente la Fundaci\u00f3n Premios Rei Jaume I, <strong>Vicent Boluda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Xavier Trepat<\/strong> es licenciado en F\u00edsica y en Ingenier\u00eda Electr\u00f3nica por la UB y dirige el Grupo <a href=\"https:\/\/ibecbarcelona.eu\/integrative\">Din\u00e1mica integrativa de c\u00e9lulas y tejidos<\/a> del IBEC. Miembro del CIBER de Bioingenier\u00eda, Biomateriales y Nanomedicina (CIBER-BBN), ha recibido diferentes ayudas del Consejo Europeo de Investigaci\u00f3n (ERC). Es autor de art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos publicados en revistas de impacto del campo tanto de la f\u00edsica como de la biolog\u00eda celular, y ha centrado su investigaci\u00f3n en el estudio de los mecanismos f\u00edsicos de la biolog\u00eda para trasladar sus resultados a la vertiente cl\u00ednica, en el mercado y en la sociedad.<\/p>\n<p>Este premio reconoce la labor investigadora de Trepat, que centra sus esfuerzos en comprender c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas y los tejidos crecen, invaden, se mueven y se regeneran en una amplia variedad de procesos fisiol\u00f3gicos y patofisiol\u00f3gicos. Por eso, ha desarrollado y patentado diversas tecnolog\u00edas que miden las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas celulares a microescala y nanoescala. Cabe recordar que recientemente Xavier Trepat tambi\u00e9n ha sido distinguido con el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/es\/xavier-trepat-gana-el-premio-fundacion-lilly-de-investigacion-biomedica-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Premio Fundaci\u00f3n Lilly de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Los otros premiados en la convocatoria son <strong>Antonio Ac\u00edn<\/strong> (Investigaci\u00f3n B\u00e1sica), <strong>Francisco P\u00e9rez<\/strong> (Econom\u00eda), <strong>Sergio M.
