Este nuevo fondo basar\u00e1 su <em>scouting<\/em> en las iniciativas emprendedoras que procedan de los principales institutos de investigaci\u00f3n sanitaria de Espa\u00f1a, as\u00ed como de los nodos de la red ITEMAS, promovida por el Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GENESIS Tech Transfer Boost invertir\u00e1 tickets de 25.000 \u20ac hasta 100.000 \u20ac por proyecto, a cambio de <em>equity<\/em> en las compa\u00f1\u00edas ya creadas, o a cambio de un compromiso de<em> equity<\/em> en los proyectos que se convertir\u00e1n en spin-off m\u00e1s adelante. Esta financiaci\u00f3n estar\u00e1 destinada a generar el m\u00e1ximo valor en los proyectos invertidos, desde la generaci\u00f3n de las pruebas de concepto claves hasta la protecci\u00f3n de los resultados mediante patente, pasando por la preparaci\u00f3n del business plan y la solicitud de financiaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica regional, nacional e internacional. El foco de inversi\u00f3n ser\u00e1 muy transversal, contempl\u00e1ndose tanto proyectos<em> pharma, <\/em>como<em> medtech<\/em>, diagn\u00f3stico o de salud digital.<\/p>\n<p>El veh\u00edculo ha sido creado gracias a la sinergia entre las consultoras GENESIS Biomed y FI Group, las cuales llevan colaborando hace a\u00f1os con varios casos de \u00e9xito comunes, como las empresas Corify Care, CreatSens, Cornea Project, Oxolife, Telara Pharma, Aortyx, Mowoot, ADmit Therapeutics, Endolipid Therapeutics, AptaTargets y Anais Medical, entre otras.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan <strong>Josep Llu\u00eds Falc\u00f3<\/strong>, CEO de GENESIS Biomed, \u201ccon la creaci\u00f3n de este nuevo veh\u00edculo pretendemos invertir en proyectos muy<em> early<\/em>, incluso en fase pre-constitutiva, que ser\u00e1n spin-off dentro de un tiempo y que es ahora cuando m\u00e1s necesitan un aporte econ\u00f3mico para poder generar valor y ser atractivos en el futuro para los grandes inversores del sector\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En palabras de <strong>Iv\u00e1n Ruiz<\/strong>, CEO de FI Group, \u201ccon este acuerdo posibilitamos el acceso a\u00a0 la m\u00e1s profesional y extensa financiaci\u00f3n p\u00fablico-privada de proyectos de un sector capital para el futuro de nuestra econom\u00eda, la investigaci\u00f3n sanitaria, donde tras lo sucedido con la COVID, cobra si cabe m\u00e1s importancia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>En la constituci\u00f3n del veh\u00edculo ha participado tambi\u00e9n la empresa Crowd4Ventures, liderada por <strong>Agust\u00ed Soler<\/strong>, quien apunta que \u201cla entrada en este veh\u00edculo de inversi\u00f3n nos permite participar activamente en fases muy iniciales de empresas biotecnol\u00f3gicas, etapa que no se encontraba cubierta por los fondos existentes y que, por tanto, representa una oportunidad para cubrir este vac\u00edo y ayuda a la consolidaci\u00f3n de la transferencia tecnol\u00f3gica en nuestro pa\u00eds\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En la constituci\u00f3n del veh\u00edculo ha participado tambi\u00e9n la empresa Crowd4Ventures, liderada por Agust\u00ed Soler, quien apunta que \u201cLa entrada en este veh\u00edculo de inversi\u00f3n nos permite participar activamente en fases muy iniciales de empresas biotecnol\u00f3gicas, etapa que no se encontraba cubierta por los fondos existentes y que, por tanto, representa una oportunidad para cubrir este vac\u00edo y ayuda a la consolidaci\u00f3n de la transferencia tecnol\u00f3gica en nuestro pa\u00eds\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Este modelo de inversi\u00f3n ya ha sido validado previamente por el veh\u00edculo que la consultora GENESIS Biomed cre\u00f3 en 2017, llamado GENESIS Ventures, el cual ha invertido en 14 proyectos biom\u00e9dicos. De estos 14 proyectos, en uno ya se ha producido el <em>exit scenario<\/em>, mientras que en otros 6 ya se han cerrado rondas de inversi\u00f3n sucesivas con inversores distintos, y en otros 5 se est\u00e1 en proceso de ronda de inversi\u00f3n.
