La subvenci\u00f3n, otorgada por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n, cubre el 100 % de la financiaci\u00f3n para adquirir e instalar este equipo que gestionar\u00e1n los Centros Cient\u00edficos y Tecnol\u00f3gicos (<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/es\/empresa\/centres-cientifics-i-tecnologics-ccitub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>CCiTUB<\/b><\/a><b>) y que formar\u00e1 parte de una ICTS que da servicio a toda la comunidad cient\u00edfica.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>La resonancia magn\u00e9tica nuclear (RMN) es una tecnolog\u00eda esencial para la investigaci\u00f3n en qu\u00edmica, farmacia y biomedicina. \u00abLa UB es l\u00edder en estos campos, como muestran los\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/web\/ub\/es\/menu_eines\/noticies\/2021\/10\/040.html?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rankings\u00a0<\/a>m\u00e1s recientes, y la renovaci\u00f3n de sus infraestructuras con este nuevo instrumento le permitir\u00e1 mantener ese liderazgo a nivel europeo y mundial\u00bb, afirma el rector de la UB, <strong>Joan Gu\u00e0rdia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo se instalar\u00e1 en el Parque Cient\u00edfico de Barcelona (PCB), en un edificio espec\u00edficamente dise\u00f1ado para aparatos con campos magn\u00e9ticos grandes. Esta tecnolog\u00eda, junto con otras t\u00e9cnicas complementarias ya existentes en las redes de ICTS, \u00abpermitir\u00e1 crear el principal\u00a0<i>hub<\/i> de biolog\u00eda estructural del sur de Europa y potenciar\u00e1 campos emergentes de aplicaci\u00f3n como el uso de prote\u00ednas desordenadas como dianas terap\u00e9uticas o los f\u00e1rmacos de origen biotecnol\u00f3gico\u00bb, explica <strong>Jordi Garcia<\/strong>, vicerrector de Investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3><b>RMN de 1 Ghz: m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida y sostenible<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>La RMN es una de las herramientas m\u00e1s vers\u00e1tiles en biomedicina y biotecnolog\u00eda. El poder de esta tecnolog\u00eda radica en su capacidad de proporcionar informaci\u00f3n estructural y din\u00e1mica a escala at\u00f3mica sobre biomol\u00e9culas complejas, incluidas sus interacciones y las modificaciones que experimentan<i>\u00a0in vivo<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>El aparato de resonancia magn\u00e9tica nuclear de muy alto campo posee un im\u00e1n h\u00edbrido de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n que incluye un nuevo superconductor de alta temperatura. De ese modo es posible crear un campo magn\u00e9tico suficiente para llegar a la frecuencia de 1 GHz. \u00abCon campos magn\u00e9ticos tan elevados se consigue una importante ganancia de resoluci\u00f3n y de sensibilidad, as\u00ed como una disminuci\u00f3n significativa en el tiempo de adquisici\u00f3n de datos. Eso supondr\u00e1 un gran impulso para el estudio estructural y din\u00e1mico de biomol\u00e9culas complejas\u00bb, apunta <strong>Miquel Pons<\/strong>, coordinador cient\u00edfico de la ICTS Red de Laboratorios de RMN de Biomol\u00e9culas a la cual se incorporar\u00eda este nuevo equipo.<\/p>\n<p>Para asegurar la sostenibilidad del dispositivo tambi\u00e9n se incluye en \u00e9l un sistema de relicuefacci\u00f3n del helio, es decir, que permite licuar el gas de nuevo, lo que reduce dr\u00e1sticamente el consumo de un recurso tan limitado y aumenta la resiliencia de la red de ICTS frente a posibles problemas de suministro o aumentos futuros de su coste.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto incluye adem\u00e1s el desarrollo de un sistema de gesti\u00f3n de datos que incorporar\u00e1 sistemas de inteligencia artificial y que permitir\u00e1 asegurar que los datos se puedan encontrar con facilidad y sean accesibles, interoperables y reutilizables, seg\u00fan los principios FAIR de buenas pr\u00e1cticas en la gesti\u00f3n de los datos cient\u00edficos.<\/p>\n<p>La incorporaci\u00f3n de este nuevo equipo al ICTS \u00abpermitir\u00e1 a toda la comunidad investigadora tener acceso a una tecnolog\u00eda de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n, lo que potenciar\u00e1 nuevas sinergias y l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n\u00bb, explica <strong>Juan Fran Sang\u00fcesa<\/strong>, director de los CCiTUB. \u00abTambi\u00e9n revertir\u00e1 en el tejido industrial, especialmente en un sector clave como el biom\u00e9dico, y contribuir\u00e1 a la atracci\u00f3n de talento y a la formaci\u00f3n de calidad para nuestros estudiantes\u00bb, concluye el experto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seg\u00fan la resoluci\u00f3n provisional de la \u00faltima convocatoria de Infraestructuras Cient\u00edficas y Tecnol\u00f3gicas Singulares (ICTS), la Universidad de Barcelona ha recibido 8.922.959 euros para incorporar a sus equipamientos tecnol\u00f3gicos el&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":14,"featured_media":67733,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[24],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-67820","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-ciencia"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
