Los investigadores combinar\u00e1n t\u00e9cnicas de \u201cmutag\u00e9nesis profunda\u201d y aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico para producir un \u201cmapa de la demencia\u201d como m\u00e9todo para predecir si una persona es m\u00e1s susceptible a padecer estas enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p>Dos proyectos liderados por investigadores del IRB Barcelona tambi\u00e9n recibir\u00e1n financiaci\u00f3n en esta convocatoria CaixaResearch de Investigaci\u00f3n en Salud. La investigaci\u00f3n encabezada por el<strong> Dr. Toni Gabald\u00f3n<\/strong>, investigador ICREA y jefe del laboratorio de Gen\u00f3mica Comparativa, busca encontrar nuevos f\u00e1rmacos para tratar las candidiasis. Esta infecci\u00f3n puede ser vaginal, oral o sist\u00e9mica. Esta enfermedad, causada por diferentes especies de hongos, es dif\u00edcil de diagnosticar y, en algunos casos, presenta altas tasas de mortalidad, sobre todo, la sist\u00e9mica. Esta enfermedad es dif\u00edcil de diagnosticar y no tiene tratamiento. Adem\u00e1s, la acumulaci\u00f3n de grasa en las c\u00e9lulas del h\u00edgado puede desencadenar una cirrosis o un c\u00e1ncer hep\u00e1tico al cabo de los a\u00f1os.
