La startup \u2013cofundada por el emprendedor catal\u00e1n Ricardo Garc\u00eda y el cient\u00edfico italiano Cesare Spadoni, dos padres afectados por el c\u00e1ncer infantil\u2013 tiene su sede en Boston (EE. UU.) y su filial europea est\u00e1 ubicada en el Parc Cient\u00edfic de Barcelona. Es la primera vez que la organizaci\u00f3n norteamericana apuesta por una empresa de biotecnolog\u00eda.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nos sentimos honrados de que, por primera vez, la Rally Foundation haya decidido ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la financiaci\u00f3n de la investigaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica invirtiendo en Oncoheroes. Creemos que las fundaciones de enfermedades espec\u00edficas y las asociaciones de pacientes desempe\u00f1an un papel esencial durante el desarrollo de nuevos medicamentos para enfermedades raras. Gracias a Rally por unirse a este esfuerzo\u00bb, declara <strong>Ricardo Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, director general de Oncoheroes Biosciences.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEstamos encantados de apoyar Oncoheroes y unirnos al esfuerzo de traer nuevas terapias para salvar la vida de ni\u00f1os y adolescentes con c\u00e1ncer\u00bb, afirma <strong>Dean Crowe<\/strong>, cofundador y directora general de la Fundaci\u00f3n Rally.<\/p>\n<p>El c\u00e1ncer infantil se considera una enfermedad rara que afecta a 300.000 nuevas familias cada a\u00f1o en todo el mundo, 90.000 de las cuales, por desgracia, perder\u00e1n a su ser querido. Adem\u00e1s, m\u00e1s del 95% de los supervivientes de c\u00e1ncer infantil tendr\u00e1n problemas de salud a causa de los tratamientos oncol\u00f3gicos administrados, la gran mayor\u00eda dise\u00f1ados y desarrollados para indicaciones adultas.
