Los nanorobots se activan debido a la reacci\u00f3n de la ureasa que lleva en su superficie cuando entra en contacto con la urea que se encuentra presente en la vejiga en elevadas concentraciones, convirti\u00e9ndolos en una v\u00eda prometedora para atacar este tipo de c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNuestros nanomotores cargados con los anticuerpos han sido capaces de \u2018nadar\u2019 tanto en orina simulada como en orina real,\u201d afirma el investigador ICREA en el IBEC Samuel S\u00e1nchez, investigador principal del grupo Smart Nano-Bio Devices del IBEC. \u201cObservamos una mejor supresi\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas del c\u00e1ncer de vejiga que al utilizar nanomotores sin la modificaci\u00f3n del anticuerpo, y a\u00fan m\u00e1s en comparaci\u00f3n con las nanopart\u00edculas pasivas, que podr\u00edan aparecer tanto de la producci\u00f3n de amon\u00edaco local como del efecto terap\u00e9utico del anti-FGFR3\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El c\u00e1ncer de vejiga es el noveno c\u00e1ncer m\u00e1s com\u00fan en el mundo y presenta un elevado \u00edndice de supervivencia, pero tambi\u00e9n niveles de recurrencia importantes, por lo que exige una mejora de los tratamientos existentes.<\/p>\n<p>Los nanomotores presentan una forma prometedora de atacar espec\u00edficamente los tejidos tumorales que pueden actuar mejorando la eficacia del tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer y minimizando los efectos colaterales. \u201cFuturos estudios que utilicen nanomotores modificados con anticuerpos que transporten agentes de imagenolog\u00eda podr\u00e1n abrir v\u00edas que mejoren la eficiencia en el diagn\u00f3stico y el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer\u201d, explica Ana Hortela\u0303o, estudiante de doctorado y autora principal del art\u00edculo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25baArticulo de referencia: <\/strong>Ana C.
