\t\t\tLas prote\u00ednas p38\u03b1 y p38\u03b2 son unas piezas fundamentales de las c\u00e9lulas que controlan funciones tan importantes como la proliferaci\u00f3n, diferenciaci\u00f3n o muerte celular, lo que explica que su malfuncionamiento provoque alteraciones en la regulaci\u00f3n celular pudiendo facilitar la formaci\u00f3n de tumores. A pesar de que son muchos los estudios celulares que han caracterizado estas prote\u00ednas, hasta el momento se hab\u00edan hecho muy pocos estudios gen\u00e9ticos sobre el papel que desempe\u00f1an \u00abin vivo\u00bb en mam\u00edferos. <\/p>\n

El trabajo, realizado fundamentalmente por Iv\u00e1n del Barco Barrantes, primer autor del art\u00edculo, ha conseguido eliminar por primera vez mediante t\u00e9cnicas gen\u00e9ticas las prote\u00ednas p38\u03b1 y p38\u03b2 en rat\u00f3n. Esta nueva aproximaci\u00f3n ha permitido estudiar el papel de estas prote\u00ednas en su conjunto, y no la funci\u00f3n de cada una de ellas por separado tal y como se hab\u00eda hecho hasta ahora. <\/p>\n
