Durante la primera semana de marzo han llegado a Barcelona unos 100.000 visitantes para asistir al Mobile World Congress (MWC-2025).<\/p>\n

Cualquier evento con una elevada concentraci\u00f3n de personas tiene un efecto importante en el espacio donde se celebra. Actos como grandes festivales de m\u00fasica y conciertos, partidos importantes de futbol o eventos deportivos masivos, ferias y congresos aportan importantes beneficios econ\u00f3micos directos e indirectos sobre el territorial donde act\u00faan, pero tambi\u00e9n suponen impactos ambientales y sociales.<\/p>\n

En el caso del MWC, desde hace a\u00f1os, la organizaci\u00f3n dispone de un programa<\/a> para gestionar y minimizar los efectos negativos en \u00e1reas clave de su actividad: energ\u00eda, producci\u00f3n y residuos, alimentaci\u00f3n y agua potable, log\u00edstica, desplazamientos y alojamientos.<\/p>\n

En esta l\u00ednea, desde MWC Barcelona ya hace 10 a\u00f1os que funciona la plataforma \u00abDonation room\u00bb que gestiona las donacions de los materiales usados durante el congreso. En 2024, se organiz\u00f3 durante seis d\u00edas la recogida y distribuci\u00f3n de mesas, armarios, sillas, muebles y enseres del hogar como l\u00e1mparas, vajilla, papeleras, etc. Esta acci\u00f3n evit\u00f3 que cinco toneladas de materiales casi nuevos se convirtieran en residuos y que muchas entidades sociales obtuvieran un beneficio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
