{"id":89761,"date":"2023-10-31T09:56:14","date_gmt":"2023-10-31T08:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/?p=89761"},"modified":"2023-11-09T08:33:40","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T07:33:40","slug":"video-rundown-of-this-autumns-coffee-connection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/video-rundown-of-this-autumns-coffee-connection\/","title":{"rendered":"Video rundown of this autumn\u2019s Coffee Connection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The 5 October saw the unfolding of 2023\u2019s second \u201cCoffee Connection\u201d event: Barcelona Science Park\u2019s biannual networking meeting to promote collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experiences among the Park Community.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Coffee Connection, edici\u00f3 d&#039;octubre\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xrCenYoWwmE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maria Terrades<\/strong>, CEO of Barcelona Science Park, kicked off the event with a brief summary of the Park\u2019s main current strategic projects. First came a progress report on the renovation project for the CUB building, which is being extended to comprise three floors that will provide 2,000 m<sup>2 <\/sup>of office or dry lab space and is due for completion in 2027. The project continues to make progress and the Ideas Contest will open soon.<\/p>\n<p>Terrades also announced the incorporation of the University of Barcelona into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/carpooling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science Park\u2019s carpooling project<\/a>, an initiative launched last year to enable members of the Community to share car journeys via an app. According to Terrades, the UB&#8217;s participation means that \u201cmany students and teachers in the vicinity will become potential new users, and it will be easier for current users to find carpooling partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Park\u2019s CEO then went on to explain the launch of a new search engine for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/community\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PCB website\u2019s Community section<\/a>.
