{"id":81763,"date":"2023-01-31T13:09:57","date_gmt":"2023-01-31T12:09:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/meet-the-groups-that-will-be-taking-part-in-the-live-research-fair-2023\/"},"modified":"2023-02-14T18:20:11","modified_gmt":"2023-02-14T17:20:11","slug":"meet-the-groups-that-will-be-taking-part-in-the-live-research-fair-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/meet-the-groups-that-will-be-taking-part-in-the-live-research-fair-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet the groups that will be taking part in the Live Research Fair 2023!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> The project &#8220;Do you want to know how we investigate the brain in a laboratory to find out how neurodegenerative diseases develop?&#8221; by the <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inc.uab.cat\/en\/research\/biomedical-research-in-alzheimer-s-disease\">Biomedical research in Alzheimer&#8217;s disease<\/a> group at the Institute of Neuroscience (INc) of the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona, was the most voted proposal (56.2%) in the public survey, in which more than 886 people participated, to choose the 11 projects that will be presented this year in the <a href=\"https:\/\/recercaensocietat.cat\/fira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Research Fair<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The evaluation committee met on Friday 27 January to select the other 10 research groups and organisations which, between 18 and 22 April, will be relocating part of their laboratories to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cosmocaixa.org\/es\/neo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CosmoCaixa<\/a> science museum in Barcelona in this edition of the fair to interact with the attendees and offer them the opportunity to conduct experiments and solve enigmas using scientific methodology. Find out more about all the projects scheduled to take part at this <a href=\"https:\/\/recercaensocietat.cat\/fira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link [+]\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The objective of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/recercaensocietat.cat\/fira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Researcher Fair\u00a0<\/a>\u2013organised by the Scientific Culture Department of the Barcelona Science Park, in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/press.lacaixa.es\/socialprojects\/view_manager.html?root=2597\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cla Caixa\u201d Foundation<\/a>, is to showcase ongoing projects in Catalonia in different fields of research in order to bring science closer to the citizens and to promote scientific vocations among young people.<\/p>\n<p>The event is part of the PCB\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/recercaensocietat.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Research in Society<\/a>\u00a0science dissemination programme that stages more than 100 activities involving almost 5,000 people every year.
