{"id":77310,"date":"2022-09-23T09:24:36","date_gmt":"2022-09-23T07:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/genesis-biomed-advises-10-entrepreneurial-projects-of-the-xartec-salud-network\/"},"modified":"2022-09-23T10:30:18","modified_gmt":"2022-09-23T08:30:18","slug":"genesis-biomed-advises-10-entrepreneurial-projects-of-the-xartec-salud-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/genesis-biomed-advises-10-entrepreneurial-projects-of-the-xartec-salud-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Genesis Biomed advises 10 entrepreneurial projects of the Xartec Salut network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The consultancy firm specialized in the biomedical sector <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/empresa\/genesis-biomed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis Biomed<\/a>, located at the Barcelona Science Park, has collaborated in the preparation of the business plans of 10 projects from the <a href=\"https:\/\/xartecsalut.com\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xartec Salut<\/a> network, led by the Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fib.upc.edu\/en\/research\/research-centers\/creb-research-centre-biomedical-engineering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CREB -UPC<\/a>), within the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/xartecsalut.com\/ca\/a-venture-builder-program-to-new-healthtech-spin-offs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venture Builder<\/a>\u00a0program to accelerate the creation of new spin-offs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the years 2021 and 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/genesis-biomed.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis Biomed<\/a> has carried out, for each project, a preliminary study of its degree of maturity and the key points to be taken into account in the preparation of the respective business plans. We have worked on aspects such as market analysis and positioning with respect to the main competitors, deals (licenses, M&amp;A and investment rounds) most comparable to each project, the analysis of the IP strategy, the regulatory development plan, the business model and commercial plan, the human resources strategy and finally, the financial plan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Through this collaboration with Xartec Salut, Genesis Biomed reinforces its commitment to research groups with an entrepreneurial spirit, acting as a facilitator for the development of the business plan, constitution and raising seed capital necessary to start the life cycle of each spin-off\u201d, says<strong> Josep Llu\u00eds Falc\u00f3<\/strong>, founder &amp; CEO of the consultancy firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cXartec Salut has selected 12 innovations from the network with a high social and economic impact. Through the Venture Builder programme, we have generated tools to validate the projects and accelerate the creation of the spin-off.
