Bicosome, a spin-off from the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC<\/a>), that develops and commercialises advanced skincare ingredients based on a proprietary platform, is launching Bicobreaks, a series of short webinars, inspired by TED Talks. The company, based in the Barcelona Science Park, aims to promote a virtual meeting space allowing professionals in the dermatology and personal care sector to update their scientific knowledge in an open, attractive and dynamic environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These Biocosome’s TED talks (acronym for Technology, Entertainment and Design) offer participants rigorous and cutting-edge information in the field of skin science and give them the opportunity to also share their opinion on the claims of the market, at the time they seek to inspire them with the company’s innovations.<\/p>\n

According to Martha Vazquez, R&D Project Management and Scientific Communication at Bicosome: \u201cIt is very important to understand how to be present online, especially these days. We need to be conscious and respect the time and availability of our professionals, whose mail boxes have been saturated with webinar invitations in the last months, but still need to be updated in their field\u201d.<\/p>\n

Using a mixed format of videos, live streams and interviews, BicoBreaks allow participants to get away from their daily work routine for 17 minutes, every two weeks, and participate in a creative discussion around the personal care industry hot topics.<\/p>\n
