This programme \u2013launched in 2008 by Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icrea.cat\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ICREA<\/a>)\u2013 aimes to help university faculty to dedicate more time to research activities, contributing to retain the research talent of our country. The thirty lecturers that were chosen in this call \u201318 men and 12 women\u2013 will receive 40,000 euros per year for five years.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irbbarcelona.org\/en\/profile\/eulalia-de-nadal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eul\u00e0lia de Nadal<\/a> has been an associate professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Pompeu Fabra University since 2008 and full professor at the same university and group leader at IRB Barcelona since 2017, where she leads jointly Dr. Francesc Posas, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irbbarcelona.org\/en\/research\/cell-signaling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cell Signaling laboratory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is the second time that she has received this recognition. In the next five years, Dr. de Nadal will focus her research on the study of the transcriptional regulation in response to stress, characterising its heterogeneity, as well as identifying new histone modifications.
