The workshops are rounded off with an interactive tour of the Barcelona Science Park so that the young people can see what really goes on every day in a laboratory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/recercaensocietat.wordpress.com\/tallers\/fes-recerca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Do research!<\/a>\u00a0is addressed to the lower and upper secondary and vocational training community and features around 50 workshops during the school year which give students a first-hand look at the research being conducted at the PCB and its connection with their educational syllabus. The workshops are run by researchers who get the young people involved in experiments related to their research projects, all following the scientific method, along with techniques and instruments commonly found in laboratories.<\/p>\n<p>Discover research!\u00a0and Do research!\u00a0are part of Research in Society, a programme launched by the Barcelona Science Park in 2003 to bring science closer to the public at large and encourage vocations among young people. It currently includes over 100 activities in which around 5,000 people participate every year.<\/p>\n<p>The programme has been recognised with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/portal\/en\/noticies\/-\/noticia\/not_el-programa-recerca-en-societat-del-pcb-reconegut-amb-el-segell-de-qualitat-educativa?inheritRedirect=false&amp;redirect=%2Fportal%2Fca%2Fcerca%3Fp_p_id%3Dcercador_WAR_empleatsempresesportlet%26p_p_lifecycle%3D0%26p_p_state%3Dnormal%26p_p_mode%3Dview%26p_p_col_id%3Dcolumn-1%26p_p_col_count%3D1%26_cercador_WAR_empleatsempresesportlet_keywords%3Dsocietat%26_cercador_WAR_empleatsempresesportlet_tab%3D3&amp;backURL=%2Fportal%2Fca%2Fcerca%3Fp_p_id%3Dcercador_WAR_empleatsempresesportlet%26p_p_lifecycle%3D0%26p_p_state%3Dnormal%26p_p_mode%3Dview%26p_p_col_id%3Dcolumn-1%26p_p_col_count%3D1%26_cercador_WAR_empleatsempresesportlet_keywords%3Dsocietat%26_cercador_WAR_empleatsempresesportlet_tab%3D3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Educational Quality Label<\/a> from Barcelona\u2019s Pedagogical Coordination Council (<em>Consell de Coordinaci\u00f3 Pedag\u00f2gica de Barcelona,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/w13.bcn.cat\/APPS\/wprpae\/general\/Presentacion.do?method=consellCoordinacio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CCP<\/a>)<\/em>\u00a0run by the Barcelona Municipal Institute of Education (Institut Municipal d&#8217;Educaci\u00f3 de Barcelona, <a href=\"http:\/\/ajuntament.barcelona.cat\/educacio\/ca\/qui-som-i-que-fem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IMEB<\/a>), and is supported by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (<em>Fundaci\u00f3 Espanyola per a la Ci\u00e8ncia i la Tecnologia, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fecyt.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FECYT<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fecyt.es\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">)<\/a>\u00a0of the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness\u00a0and the Barcelona City Council\u2019s Municipal Institute of Culture (<em>Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, <a href=\"http:\/\/ajuntament.barcelona.cat\/culturaieducacio\/es\/institut-de-cultura-de-barcelona-icub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ICUB<\/a>)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25baThe pre-registration period ends on 19 September.
