He is also Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at St George\u2019s Hospital\u00a0and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbht.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal Brompton Hospital<\/a>, in London.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Kaski\u2019s research is focused on microvascular angina and on biomarkers of rapid coronary artery disease progression, myocardial ischemia and cardiovascular risk. He has authored over 500 papers in peer review journals and more than 150 invited papers and book chapters. He has also edited eight books on cardiovascular topics, including one on cardiac biomarkers and the recent edition of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escardio.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Society of Cardiology<\/a>\u00a0Handbook of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy. He also regularly lectures around the world on his research topics.<\/p>\n<p>He was President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iscpcardio.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP)<\/a> and Chairman of the ESC Working Group on Microcirculation.
