For the first time ever, as many as 500,000 genes in a woman&#8217;s oocytes have been studied.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a really cutting-edge study from a research point of view,&#8221; explains Dr. Rita Vassena, Eugin&#8217;s scientific director and author of the paper, entitled <em>Age and Ovarian Reserve Affect The Non-Coding Transcriptome Of Human Oocytes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Never before had these types of molecules been observed in a woman&#8217;s oocytes.\u00a0We are observing the changes undergone by the molecular composition of the eggs over the years. All this will enable us in the future to predict what the state of health of a woman&#8217;s ovaries is, and therefore better understand her fertility&#8221;,\u00a0she adds.<\/p>\n<p>The study was conducted in the\u00a0Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Reproduction that Eugin has in the \u00a0Barcelona Science Park.\u00a0This cente raims to advance our knowledge of human reproduction infertility, developing new technologies to improve current techniques increase the rate success of different treatments for the benefit of our patients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To know the molecular composition of the egg in order to enhance our knowledge of female fertility is the aim of the work promoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eugin.co.uk\/.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eugin Clinic<\/a>.
