{"id":49682,"date":"2018-11-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-11-22T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/nmr-laboratory-of-the-ccitub-has-renewed-its-qualification-as-icts\/"},"modified":"2020-11-18T14:57:13","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T13:57:13","slug":"nmr-laboratory-of-the-ccitub-has-renewed-its-qualification-as-icts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/nmr-laboratory-of-the-ccitub-has-renewed-its-qualification-as-icts\/","title":{"rendered":"NMR Laboratory of the CCiTUB has renewed its qualification as ICTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rmn.ub.es\/lrb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NMR Laboratory<\/a> of the CCiTUB, has as main objective the realization of very high field NMR experiments for the study of the structure and dynamics of complex molecules of biological interest and to give advice to all companies and researchers on the applications of the MRI in this field. Their teams contribute to research in various areas, such as chemistry, molecular biology, cell and genetics, food science and technology, pharmacy and biotechnology, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the installations of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccit.ub.edu\/EN\/tb07.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Unit of Transmission Electron Microscopy <\/a>of the CCiTUB, together with infrastructures of other related techniques, will constitute\u00a0the UMEAP (Unit of Electron Microscopy applied to Materials), that has been recognized as a node within the ICSI ELECMI (Integrated Infrastructure of Electron Microscopy of Materials).<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the two CCiTUB infrastructures that appear on the new ICTS map, the University of Barcelona becomes one of the three universities in Spain recognized with two nodes, and the only one in Catalonia.<\/p>\n<p>The term Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructure (ICTS) refers to facilities, resources or services needed to develop state-of-the-art, high-quality research, as well as for the transmission , exchange and preservation of knowledge, the transfer of technology and the promotion of innovation. The ultimate goal is the provision of the national and international scientific, technological and industrial community of state-of-the-art scientific-technical infrastructures, indispensable for the development of competitive and quality scientific and technological research, understood as those technical means that are unique or exceptional in their kind, with a very high investment and \/ or maintenance cost and operation and whose importance and strategic nature justifies its availability for the entire R&amp;D collective.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The ICTS are distributed throughout the state territory and are collected in what is called the &#8220;Map of Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS), integrated by 29 entities, all of them of public ownership, singular and of open access, with a total of 62 infrastructures all of them operative.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Scientific,Technological and Innovation Policy Council (CPCTI) of\u00a0the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities,\u00a0has\u00a0approved the new update of the Singular Scientific and Technological Infrastructures (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciencia.gob.es\/portal\/site\/MICINN\/menuitem.8ce192e94ba842bea3bc811001432ea0\/?vgnextoid=4a9481b2d0653510VgnVCM1000001d04140aRCRD&amp;lang_choosen=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ICTS<\/a>) map, in force until 2020.\u00a0The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rmn.ub.es\/lrb\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nuclear Magnetic Resonance <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rmn.ub.es\/lrb\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laboratory<\/a>\u00a0(NMR Laboratory) of the Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccit.ub.edu\/EN\/m1sm1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CCiTUB<\/a>),\u00a0at the Barcelona Science Park, qualified as ICTS since 2000, has been renewed this qualification\u00a0now becoming part of the Network of MRI Laboratories of Biomolecules\u00a0(R-LRB).
