The event runs from today until Thursday at the Montju\u00efc (Healthio and In(3D)ustry) and Gran Via (IoTSWC) venues and will attract over 21,000 trade visitors. They will be able to find out more about the innovations of the 550 exhibitor companies and listen to the almost 600 experts who will feature in the talks and panel discussions scheduled over the three days of the fairs.<\/p>\n

Barcelona Science Park-based organisations set to attend include \u00c1lamo Consulting<\/a>,\u00a0A<\/a>vinent Implant System<\/a>,\u00a0Biocat<\/a>,\u00a0CataloniaBio & HealthTech<\/a>,\u00a0EIT Health Spain<\/a>,\u00a0Leitat<\/a>, the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC)<\/a>, the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona)<\/a>,\u00a0New Born Solutions<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Xenopat<\/a>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Innovations in health<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Healthio will gather healthcare system users, practitioners, entrepreneurs and innovators with the aim of creating a new ecosystem which all stakeholders can help to design.\u00a0Visitors will be able to try out and experiment onsite with highly advanced techniques and practices used in the healthcare system in 25 guided tours divided into three thematic areas: health and wellbeing, personalised medicine and chronic illnesses and ageing. The tours will display the latest applications designed to foster empowerment and decision-making for healthcare users.<\/p>\n

They can also attend any of the over 300 presentations scheduled for the event\u2019s four meetings and take part in activities such as Health & Bio Team Dating<\/a> organised by Biocat,\u00a0CataloniaBio & HealthTech\u00a0and\u00a0Bank Sabadell\u2019s BStartup. This is\u00a0a pioneering initiative in Catalonia to promote the creation of life and health science start-ups which is being run for the fourth time.<\/p>\n

Health & Bio Team Dating puts scientists in contact with entrepreneurs, mentors and business development professionals in 30-minute speed dating meetings to generate new business synergies and set up teams to run successful projects and firms in the medtech, therapeutics and diagnostics, drugs, digital health and agrifood sectors.<\/p>\n

Beyond 3D printing<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

After two successful fairs, In(3D)ustry From Needs to Solutions is back to ramp up its role as a showcase for the finest industrial applications in the additive manufacturing ecosystem. This year it also includes new sectors of potential users of this technology.<\/p>\n

The event is supported by Leitat, Tecnalia and IAM3DHUB as strategic partners and will be structured around the IN(3D)USTRY Arena, a large innovation area equipped with a stage where 40 representatives of companies in five sectors (health, aeronautics, industrial, automotive and retail) will present future challenges to manufacturers. The latter in turn will share solutions to these needs and display their success stories and the potential of applying this technology across the entire industrial field.<\/p>\n

IoT applied to business sectors<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The IoT Solutions World Congress, the preeminent event for industrial Internet of Things (IoT) innovations and jointly organised with the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), includes a congress, a commercial exhibition area and testbeds. This year\u2019s show will confirm the increase in IoT implementation and also demonstrate the convergence of this technology with artificial intelligence and blockchain.<\/p>\n
