{"id":49485,"date":"2015-08-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-08-05T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/leitat-leads-glam-a-european-project-to-improve-cancer-diagnosis\/"},"modified":"2020-11-18T14:55:25","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T13:55:25","slug":"leitat-leads-glam-a-european-project-to-improve-cancer-diagnosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/leitat-leads-glam-a-european-project-to-improve-cancer-diagnosis\/","title":{"rendered":"Leitat leads GLAM, a European project to improve cancer diagnosis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The GLAM project, which has received funding from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020\u00a0programme, involves three spanish partners\u00a0\u2013Leitat (coordinator),\u00a0IBEC and\u00a0the Institute of Photonic Sciences, ICFO (Spain)\u2013\u00a0and the\u00a0University of Twente and\u00a0Radboud University Medical Center (The Netherlands), the Free University of Brussels and the Obelis Group (Belgium), Novelic (Serbia),\u00a0WizSoft (Israel)\u00a0and OptoCap (UK).<\/p>\n<p>The members of the consortium will combine medical research with basic research and biotechnology to develop in a four-year term a new diagnostic tool to detect biomarkers from biofluids obtained in a non-invasive manner, focusing on urine and genitourinary cancers.
