It is also a member of the Consolidated Research Group of the regional government of Catalonia (SGR2014SGR566) and is one of the Centre for Innovation and Advanced Technologies of the University of Barcelona\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/citaub.fbg.ub.edu\/index.php\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CITA-UB<\/a>), a project promoted by the UB and the Fundaci\u00f3n Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fbg.ub.edu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FBG<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, the UTOX-PCB was the first ecotoxicology research centre in Spain to be included in the Good Laboratory Practices quality standards compliance programme, established internationally by member countries of the OECD.<\/p>\n<p>It extended its scope in 2015 to include all types of in vivo and in vitro (acute and chronic) toxicity studies, mutagenicity studies and ecotoxicology studies for medicinal products for human and veterinary use, medical devices and cosmetics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the renewal and extension of the BPLI\/1813\/001\/CAT certification, the UTOX-PCB\/CERETOX\/TECNIO team demonstrates, for yet another year, its firm commitment to quality in basic in vitro and in vivo research, development and implementation and technological transfer for the different entities and businesses of all industry sectors.
