For the third time, Barcelona will be hosting BIO-Europe Spring from 20 to 22 March.\u00a0It is doing so with unprecedented numbers: 110 companies and entities and 195 delegates from the BioRegion\u00a0including\u00a0distinguished representatives\u00a0from the Barcelona Science Park (PCB) and\u00a0a large number of companies and entities of PCB Community:\u00a0Aromics<\/a>,\u00a0Avizorex Pharma<\/a>, Biocat<\/a>,\u00a0Bioingenium<\/a>, CataloniaBio<\/a>, Cebiotex<\/a>, Chemotargets<\/a>,\u00a0Centro Nacional de An\u00e1lisis Gen\u00f3mico (CNAG-CRG)<\/a>,\u00a0Esteve<\/a>,\u00a0Fundaci\u00f3 Gaem<\/a>,\u00a0IBEC<\/a>,\u00a0RB Barcelona<\/a>,\u00a0IDP Pharma<\/a>,\u00a0Insights in Life Sciences (ilS)<\/a>,\u00a0Intelligent Pharma<\/a>,\u00a0Iproteos<\/a>, Fundaci\u00f3 Bosch i Gimpera (FBG)<\/a>, LeanBioPro<\/a>,\u00a0Leitat<\/a>,\u00a0Mind the Byte<\/a>, Minoryx Terapheutics<\/a>, ProteoDesign<\/a>, Readycell<\/a> and\u00a0SOM Biotech<\/a>.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

A key opportunity to move towards business goals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attendees will have three days to hold 30-minute private meetings with other international executives and business developers, with the option to have up to 20 meetings each day. The BioRegion of Catalonia will have a booth with more than 50 m\u00b2 of space (number 41) coordinated by Biocat, where local and international delegates can network.<\/p>\n

Although the strong point of BIO-Europe Spring is the partnering meetings, there’s also a program of more than 120 conferences and debates on key topics in the sector featuring many Catalan speakers and activities to foster networking among attendees.\u00a0The most innovative start-ups will also have the chance to showcase the potential of their projects in two activities to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.\u00a0Furthermore, as value added, eight Catalan companies will have the opportunity to present their enterprise to global leaders in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and the financial industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

BIO-Europe is organized by the EBD Group \u2013 a company that specializes in partnering among key stakeholders in the life sciences sector around the world \u2013 with collaboration from Biocat and ACCI\u00d3 heading up the Host Committee, which also features the following members: Asebio, Barcelona Activa, Cataloniabio, EIT Health, Farmaindustria, Government of Catalonia, ITEMAS and Invest in Spain.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to EBD Group, this year the fair is expected to bring together executives from 1,400 companies generating 12,500 one-to-one meetings and more than 3,500 licensing opportunities.
