{"id":49440,"date":"2016-05-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/eit-health-launches-two-funding-calls-for-innovative-health-projects\/"},"modified":"2020-11-18T14:55:13","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T13:55:13","slug":"eit-health-launches-two-funding-calls-for-innovative-health-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/eit-health-launches-two-funding-calls-for-innovative-health-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"EIT Health launches two funding calls for innovative health projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the funding initiates launched by EIT Health is the creation of a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eithealth.eu\/accelerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> financial aid<\/a>\u00a0line addressed to speed up the arrival of technology-based products and services and to create new business opportunities in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship for a healthy lifestyle and active aging.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the Spanish node of EIT Health has launched two calls for proposals. <em>Proof of Concept<\/em>, geared towards projects and business ideas in the early stages prior to the establishment of a company or those currently participating in health acceleration programs (the so called PoC Plus modality) and the\u00a0<em>Headstart<\/em>, a funding line open to Spanish companies clearly-market oriented\u00a0 for the development of business ideas, and health products and services.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for the submission of call proposals closes on 6 June. Full information regarding both calls can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eithealth.eu\/accelerator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EIT Health website [+]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Business plan aggregator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EIT Health invites innovative SMEs,\u00a0<em>spin-offs<\/em>\u00a0and<em>\u00a0start-ups<\/em>\u00a0in the health sector to submit their proposals for the best business plan in the field. \u00a0Each of the regional quarters of EIT Health will choose the three best business plans in the categories of medical technology, biotechnology and digital health, which will in turn take part at the European final.<\/p>\n<p>The 21 finalist projects will receive 3,000\u20ac to produce a video pitch for the final, which will take place during the EIT Health Summit in Barcelona on 23 and 24 November this year, and where they will have the opportunity to meet with national and international investors. \u00a0The three finalist projects of each category will receive a cash prize of 10,000, 3,000 and 2,000 Euros, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for the call is 31 July.
