{"id":49411,"date":"2006-06-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-06-21T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/the-genomics-and-proteomics-network-annual-conference-at-the-pcb\/"},"modified":"2020-11-18T14:55:08","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T13:55:08","slug":"the-genomics-and-proteomics-network-annual-conference-at-the-pcb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/the-genomics-and-proteomics-network-annual-conference-at-the-pcb\/","title":{"rendered":"The Genomics and Proteomics Network Annual Conference at the PCB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the auspices of the <i>Generalitat de Catalunya<\/i> (Government of Catalonia), the <a href=\"http:\/\/xgp.uab.es\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"email\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Genomics and Proteomics Network <\/a> promotes communication and collaborations between research groups in Catalonia that are working or interested in these scientific fields. Currently comprising more than seventy groups from public R+D institutes in Catalonia (universities, research centres, hospitals, etc.), this network also seeks to classify the tools, methodologies and services offered by these groups in addition to performing a needs assessment of the same. <\/p>\n<p> The opening session of the conference will include contributions from the director of the PCB, Fernando Albericio, the coordinator of the Network, F. Xavier Aviles, and the manager of the Proteomics Platform and coordinator of the meeting, Eliandre d&#8217;Oliveira. The conference programme comprises presentations by researchers from several centres in Catalonia, such as  the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB), the Municipal Institute of Medical Research (IMIM), the University Hospital of Vall d&#8217;Hebron and the Institute for Biomedical Research of Barcelona (IIBB-CSIC); and other scientists at the <i>Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Cooperativa en Biociencias <\/i> (CIC bioGune) and the University of Southern Denmark. <\/p>\n<p> Furthermore, the conference will include a contribution from the researcher at the National Biotechnology Centre (CNB-CSI), Juan Pablo Albar, who, as coordinator of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.proteored.org\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"email\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ProteoRed<\/a>, will present this project. ProteoRed, which is supported by <i>Genoma Espa\u00f1a<\/i>, seeks to coordinate services in proteomics provided in Spain. <\/p>\n<p> This conference has been organized with the collaboration of the PCB, through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.es\/plataformes-mixtes\/web\/proteomica\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"email\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Proteomics Platform <\/a> (PCB-UB-IDIBAPS), member of the Network, and is supported by ProteoRed and the enterprise <i>Bruker Biosciences Espa\u00f1ola<\/i>.  <\/p>\n<p> For more information please go to the conference <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcb.ub.es\/homePCB\/docs\/pdf\/activitats\/XGP06.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"email\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">programme<\/a>.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 30 June, the Antoni Caparr\u00f3s Auditorium at the PCB will host the annual conference, entitled &#8220;Perspectives in Proteomics&#8221;, of the Genomics and Proteomics Network of Catalonia.
