This study has arisen from multidisciplinary dialogue between specialists in medicine, nursing, philosophy, biology, anthropology, geography and law.  <\/p>\n<p>  The presentation will be chaired by the rector of the <i>Universitat de Barcelona<\/i> (UB, University of Barcelona), M\u00e0rius Rubiralta, and will involve contributions from the coordinators of the report, Ana S\u00e1nchez-Urrutia, lecturer in Constitutional Law at the UB; Vict\u00f2ria Martorell, physician at the <i>Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau de Barcelona<\/i> and specialist in hospital management; and also Mar\u00eda Casado, director of the OBD. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In accordance with their  beliefs,Jehovah&#8217;s Witnesses do not accept blood transfusions.
