\t\t\tJesus Purroy, technical director of Science and Technology Services at PCB, headed the opening ceremony. Next, presentations were given by: Silvia Frutos, CSO of the spin off ProteoDesign<\/a>; Jordi Vall\u00e9s, Knowlegde Transfer Officer at the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG)<\/a> (University of Barcelona); Carlos Mart\u00ednez, Application Specialist at Sysmex Espa\u00f1a<\/a>; Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Durette, R&D Project Manager at Adoc Talent Management<\/a>; and Alex Casta, investment analyst at Caixa Capital Risc<\/a>. <\/p>\n

All speakers gave a brief summary of their professional career progression, explaining what their current job entails and what made them decide for this option. After the presentations, there was a round of questions and answers open to all attendees.<\/p>\n

After the event, refreshments were served so that participants and attendees could address personal consultations and the issues covered in the meeting in a more friendly, relaxed atmosphere. <\/p>\n

The fifth edition of the \u00abCareer Progression in Science \u2013Options beyond the bench\u00bb day took place today at the auditorium of the Parc Cien\u00edfic de Barcelona (PCB).
